slither of a moon...

Got up for a p at 4 this morning and the moon was amazing.. so went and got the kit out, below is what i got... doesn't do it justice, with the naked eye the earth shine was amazing (roll on payday when i get the 350D). First time in the new house that i seen the full sky.. and wow it was clear (and very cold) this morning and could make out so many more stars than at my old place!

Anyway, shot with the C6S, LPI and 6.3 reducer (5 shots stitched):

Nice slither....I would have liked to have seen the earthshine with this...Thanks for the effort so early in the morn.

yeah.. was a shame.. but the LPI is just not sensitive enuff to capture it

Beauty of an image. Just a little overexposed but you have really captured it. Terminator is v.nice. Certain views are never done justice by a camera, but this image really gives an idea of how impressive it would appear to the eye.
