Bluesky Earthshine

Shot of the Moon from the night of the 4th March. It was still twilight so the sky looks blue when the image tweaked.

Nice image Pete esp for Twilight hours i know how hard it is to judge the exposure because i tried also to get it but failed.

Good capture Pete, again well done.

The contrast between the lit and unlit sides is a major obsticle. I suppose the ideal method would to do two captures, one exposed for the lit side, second for the shadow, then merge the two in Photoshop.

It's a tricky thing to do Nabban and doesn't always look very natural. I do have a correctly exposed crescent too - maybe I'll try to merge them later.

Yes Pete, it's difficult to make it look natural, lots of balancing the levels and trying different combinations, but might be worth a try.

I will be giving it a go when new scope arrives, so I will see.

I did one a while back. It took loads of fiddling to get it to a point where I was happy with it. It's now one of my favourite images I have to say.

Exactly Pete, a lot of work, more than you would think, but worth it.
