Altair Lightwave 0.8 reducer/flattener and zwo asi 1600

Hi everyone, after some more advice.

now the winter months are approaching I’ve put my TS 80 apo triplet on the mount.

ive just got an Altair Lightwave 0.8 reducer/ flattener to use with my ASI 1600. The recommendation is for 55mm backspace but I’m well off at that looking at the stars. They point towards the corners with a skirt tail. It gets progressively better towards the centre.

can anyone give advice on backspacing that would work with this combination?

That pattern indicates that you are too close, so you need to increase the separation (add extension tube(s)). If you start to get stars that are "radial" that means you have gone too far.
