That's really interesting Nick and thanks for posting.  The local Women's Group has asked me to do a 'talk' on my hobby later this year so I will refer to Caroline Herschel and others such as Henrietta Leavitt etc.  I have also visited the Herschel museum in Bath (twice) and can recommend that for anyone with a free afternoon.
