I can see it naked eye but I put my heritage on a table then have to hunch right over to look into the finder, 

Note to self need tripod asap, this should make things easier and more enjoyable.

Definitely! If I remember correctly there is a tripod fitting underneath the brass so it should screw straight on?? I only bought the OTA itself off Astroboot so can’t check. Makes like far easier, unless you are a Hobbit

I've modified my photo tripod slightly and took of the base of the mount. It's not the most stable, but it'll get me some height until I get another mount, I did make a wooden tripod last year but didn't seal it and it got weather damaged!
