ZWO ADC Bubble Level

How does this work?

I am perhaps the only person at FLO who still hasn't used an ADC, but it's me online today so I'll do my best.

My understanding is atmospheric dispersion occurs relative to the target's position above the horizon. The ADC corrects along one axis in it's light path and the dispersion correction is always perpendicular to the horizon. So the horizon is the reference and the bubble level allows you to orientate the ADC with the horizon. I am told it is easier to do than to explain and the method does of course vary depending on the telescope's type/optics.

Hopefully someone more experienced will fill in the gaps ?
