from using a star adventurer to a heq5 polar alignment issues

Hi all dont know if it is me im used to the star adventurer now i have a heq5 i have watched you tube videos but somewhat confused i set up the mount in the park position i look through the polar scope and the little polaris circle is at 12 o'clock i launch my app on my phone use the alt and az bolts to put polaris where it matches on my phone but tracking is way out....do i have to rotate scope to where polaris is shown then adjust the az and alt bolts...like i said i have watch some videos and each one has a different approach help!!!

When you say tracking is way out is that visually or imaging, unless you're using some long focal length scope just having Polaris in the polar scope should be good enough for visual.

That's more to do with star aligning than PA
