Earthshine and an occultation

Tonight was one of those special nights, observing the Moon with the kids, a new 8 year old astronomer in the making, 1 occultation imaged and 1 observed. Let's hope the weekend is clear for more of the same.

Anyhoo after observing the Moon occulting 68 Ori earlier in the evening I spotted this one on sky safari and thought I'd have a go at imaging it. Here's the result.

Lovely one John. The Earthshine was very prominent last night. I saw a few starsvthat looked like they may be occulted but missed the event, you did well!
