M45 The Pleiades, six panel mosaic

Recommended Posts

I decided to use my longer scope and go for a close-look mosaic approach though if i had realised just how much hassle this would cause i probably would never have bothered, but each setback including illness just made me more determined to complete.

My version of Pleiades is made up from 88 x 600s L from my reduced TMB 152/1200 with SXVR-H694 giving 1.07"/p and acting as the base for the six panel mosaic. After losing loads of time and struggling with rotational issues with my 152, i decided to "cheat" and take RGB from my widefield rig- 68 x 180s R, 70 x 180s G and 67 x 180s B giving 3.39"/p. Everything processed and stitched together in PI.

Subs acquired between 7th December and 9th February
