More than one Halo around Alnitak!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

A few night ago I had the chance to shoot one of my favorite DSOs, The Horsehead and companions.

I took 24x300sec exposures and when I stacked them I noticed that I have more than one halo around Alnitak.

I used my TS65 quad with the Canon 700D and IDAS LPS D1 clip in filter.

Is it possible that one of the lens elements inside the telescope to be a bit loose and move inside when the telescope moves?

The clip in filter sits quite tight inside the camera, I made sure of it.

I managed to remove the effect with the Healing tool brush in Photoshop but if there is a problem I would really like to know what it is if somebody has a clue.

Thanks.
