Apollo 8 - Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station report

Thanks Stu,

I was 14 at the time of the Apollo 8 mission and remember it as being the first time man went to the Moon, though I have to say that the different Apllo missions do somewhat morph together in my memory. I was already interested in astronomy from about the age of 7 and the Apollo missions really reinforced that interest into a lifetime hobby. I'm just listening to the audio link of the launch, which sent memory shivers up my spine. A brilliant post, thanks very much....

Well, this is dangerous, could keep me reading for the next few weeks! Not sure how I got to these, I was searching for info about The Trench team in Mission Control and came upon this site.

I have linked to three items which include videos covering Apollo 1, Apollo 8 and Apollo 11. There is also info on Mission control layout and a link to the science folder on the site which has many more articles in it. I have briefly read some of the text and viewed a short part of one video but it seems to be good info. Again, I hope you enjoy. Must stop surfing and go do some Christmas shopping!!
