Dancing planets

Had lovely views of the conjunction this morning. As others have commented it's a unique experience seeing Venus and Jupiter in the same view at reasonably high mag.

It was pointless trying to image with the DSLR with their apparent diameters being so small and with them being so low, but I did capture some wide views. I've posted a few of these elsewhere but to keep it all together :)

I said it wasn't worth imaging but I only came to that conclusion after trying. I gave up and moved on to visual and wide shots because the image was awful. But it was only about 2 degrees above the horizon at the time and all bent out of shape.

So, a little RGB alignment and a stretch and this isn't actually too bad (I don't think anyway)
