I remember viewing that SN in my 10" - very cool to be able to see with your own eyes and a just a few expertly polished pieces of glass

Waiting for video to download and thinking that must have been a very very extremely close supernova.

To quote from the article "The images were taken 10 months to nearly two years after the violent event (Nov. 6, 2014, to Oct. 12, 2016).

I would have thought Astronomy Now would have said that images were taken after the violent event was first observed, otherwise we are all doomed!
