Can't focus guide scope

Please help. I don't want to waste this night. I have a new guide scope and camera and I can't reach focus. I don't own a laptop so I'm running in and out the house to check. I have ran the entire focus in and out twice and no stars. So I pointed at the moon and no matter where I move the focuser I get this image on PhD. What's going on?

These things are best sorted out during the day I'm afraid. You've not said what guidescope/camera you're using. It's likely to be a scope objective - camera sensor spacing issue. Looks like the sensor needs a clean!

You think it could be dust

You probably don't have enough back focus, you may need to use an extension tube to reach focus.

Looks like you have muck on the sensor. That's separate from your focussing problem, of course.

Thankyou all! I got it working. I had to add a tube extension. (Lucky i had one) was a pain in the ass to find focus. now I'm getting 300-second subs with round stars. first time ever guiding. what a pleasure
