Weatherman got it right again, Calcium-K, 05/09/17

Hi,

The weather was awful this morning, I mean chucking it down, even the dog was fed up with the amount of rain.  So why did I pack my solar telescope to take to work?  The answer was the number of sunspots, the complexity of the spots and the fact that the weatherman promised sunshine.  Was he wrong, no, but there was too much cloud in the end for me to get Hydrogen Alpha, so had to settle for Calcium-K.

Usual travel kit, William Optics Zenithstar 80mm, Lunt CaK module, ASI174MM

Close up with a 2x barlow, 3 panes and some stitching

I would settle for these any day.
