Had one of these a few years ago... Sold it... but grew to miss it! :p
I see that it is now "discontinued" from the Baader Range.
But if you want to buy a (near) variant:

FWIW, bought mine of their Amazon link.

Need to think a bit about the 3/4" photo thread! But it does have
a standard 1/4" photo thread hole for other tripods & bolts etc. :)

These are really excellent units for multipurposes. We used to sell a similar version by Vixen in the 80's. For interested callers we had two tripods set up with spotting scopes, each tripod had a pan and tilt head and one had an additional geared head. We then asked them to point the telescopes at a distant object at a reasonably high magnification. Yet another one sold!   :icon_biggrin:

Hi Alan --

Thought I might test this out for myself (too)! :p

This is perhaps the "worst case scenario"... But I am pleased to say
that the slow motions perform well (without judder) even like this.
Normally it would be better to use a Telephoto mount ring closer
to the balance point?!? But hey, it does work. ;)

FWIW I entend to use it as an alternative to Guide Scope Rings
(not overly fond of them) to mount an "Electronic" Finderscope! :)

Sorry for blur / shake - I only have the ONE "real" camera now! :D
