Heq5 controller mod

Hi all,

so I have a chance to buy an original black version Heq5 with a standard dual drive controller (some may recall these). I'd like to see if I could adapt the wiring to see if I could use my newer eq5 enhanced drives control box ( the new red one). Do you think this is possible??

I suspect the gearing is different and needs more microsteps per revolution.
