Dithering not working

Alright, what am I doing wrong...

PHD is calibrated and guiding and the server is started.  

I then launch APT and start my plan with dithering enabled, first frame shoots, it dithers pauses for a while and shoots again but PHD is going berserk trying to get the guide star back on target - like it didn't know the dither was going to happen... therefore the sub goes in the bin as it's all streaks, but from what I understand all APT does is instruct PHD to do the dither??

Does the graph in phd show "Dithering" and have you made any adjustments to the option for dithering in apt?

No it doesn't - but - it does now

I'd fallen at the first I'm afraid, somewhat embarrassingly I hadn't set the guiding program in APT from the APT dithering default to PHD ...

Now the moon has risen high enough to spoil play.

glad you worked it out. Thats always the way spend all the time mucking around with something that most say take minutes only to find cloud stops play..

Even when setup properly I still had to junk 4 of 20 subs because of trailing - I guess I need more settle time...
