EQ2 Stiff RA Axis

Another possibility is that the locking lever is not backing off sufficiently. The lever can be removed and replaced at a different angle. If this is not the case I wouldn't continue rotating the axis as it might need regreasing as already suggested. :icon_biggrin:

Are you talking about the bolt that tightens the RA access to stop it rotating? How do you replace it at a different angle?

The lever usually sits on a hexagonal footing, if you take the lever off you can move it clockwise or anticlockwise one flat.(like applying a ring spanner to a nut)   :icon_biggrin:

Are you talking about the altitude lock? The locking bolt for RA is just a screw-in bolt with a knob on the end so you can turn it, it doesn't have different positions to go in, it just screws in.

Sorry Ben, must just be on the larger models. Good luck with resolving the issue.   :icon_biggrin:
