Planetary nebula Abell 5

Hello,

This is a picture of the very faint planetary nebula Abell 5, or "The Eye of Sauron" as my better half puts it. It is also more formally known as PK141-7.1. This faint object can be found at the top of Perseus.

Although this is a narrow band HaO3 image, there is in fact very little O3, despite the long integration time. The stars are formed from a combination of 100% Ha for red, 50% Ha and 50% O3 for green and 100% O3 for blue. The nebula is a HOO combination. It was taken between November 2016 and January 2017 using a Edge HD 11, Atik 414EX on a Mesu 200. Guided using an ASI178MM via ONAG. Filters were a Baader Ha 7nm and Baader O3 8.5nm.

Exposure details: Ha: 14x1200s at 1x1 binning, O3: 15x1200s at 1x1 binning.

Hope you like it.
