Canon bridge camera & SharpCap

Hi all. Does anyone know if you can get a Canon Powershot SX410 IS bridge camera to work with Sharpcap to capture live stacks/images at all? I can get SharpCap to work with a cheap webcam & the webcam fixed to my laptop, so wondered if it was doable to get it to work on the Canon bridge camera too?

This is a list of the cameras supported by Sharpcap . The answer I think is no, not directly. It might be possible to obtain a live feed using a usb video capture adapter.

Thanks Cornelius. Looking into this further I don't think it is achievable, and certainly not with any extra cable as there is no corresponding audio/visual jack output on the camera.

You should be able to connect your camera to a tv using a Canon AV cable (AVC-DC400, sold separately). The cable plugs into the usb port on your camera and the other end (RCA phonoplugs) into the frame grabber. Sharpcap will then recognise the frame grabber.
