Weird Artefacts...

It's been so long since clear skies, that I've pretty much forgotten how to do this imaging thing! I have just put my Celestron EdgeHD 8" on the mount and am trying to image M109 with the QSI 683. After all sorts of hiccups, I have finally gathered a sub. However, as you will see, it has a bit of a religious ray across it. What do you reckon this is? Light leak somewhere? All help will be greatly received, thank you.

Personally, per your comment re 'religious ray'; the Gods really are smiling on you perhaps?

Well, I have made progress. It was light leakage... from the very nearby star Gamma Ursae Majoris, Phad. I have reframed the image and hey presto, the religious rays have gone:
