DMK21 on my PST Solar pics

I had a half hour of clear blue skies this morning before whispy clouds filled the remainder of my day. I have been getting used to using the Imaging Source DMK21AU04.AS Monochrome camera mounted to my PST with a low profile C-Mount, no barlow. The full disc is a mosaic of eight images merged in iMerge - four for the disc and four for proms.

Those look pretty lively, I'm surprised anyone in the UK can see enough of old Sol to take his picture. You have done well there though.

Steve I got the short C-mount adapter from Modern Astronomy, if you go to the planetary cameras page, and click on Accessories under the Imaging Source cameras dropdown lists, its hidden there for £19 delivered. It isn't listed under adapters! It works a treat. Came next day too.

How did you get the colour if your using a mono camera ?

The images are colourised in photoshop by adjusting levels and balance. A monochrome cam is the answer to decent Hydrogen Alpha solar images. Heres more I shot today
