I'm thinking Sabre. Just shelled out on the C8 so don't want to add even more with the Ercole plus clamps. The Sabre plus two clamps is £120 less than the AYO with single ADM clamp so I'll make a bit back.

sounds like a perfect deal, and should support both scopes perfectly............now if i could just get some clear skies to try my Giro II ED120 i would be happy

Yes, my suspicion is that the Sabre is actually a more capable mount capacity wise, but the AYO wins on looks.

I suppose the decision has been made for me now though so I'll be ordering the Sabre tomorrow.

All totally academic anyway because the permacloud is being true to it's name of late.

Hopefully the Giro II ED120 combo works out Jules, I came very close to the ED120 myself but feel I need to give other scope types a try before becoming a total Fracaholic.

Ercole I can vouch for. Sabre should at least hold you over, if not indeed delight you.
