Another question that was a long time coming in the planetarium

I was finally asked on Friday ... how do astronauts go to the toilet?

I was surprised it took so long for that question to arise. So I answered it and then grossed them out by telling them where astronauts get their drinking water.

All the water on Earth has been in a recycle loop for billions of years.

Some of the water molecules of in the saliva on your tongue may well have evaporated from fresh dinosaur dung millions of years ago...at least once.

You don't want to think about where they've been since then :)

It's no different from London's water. Probably tastes better!

I like to tell people that London's water is some of the cleanest you can get. It must be as its been filtered by so many kidneys.
