Skywatcher Star Adventurer payload

Can the Skywatcher Star Adventurer handle the payload of a 80mm APO doublet with a mirrorless camera attached?

It might be able to handle the weight (just) but its the focal length that is the real issue, it does seem to work better with sub 340 mm FL lenses/scopes.

It all depends. The payload of the Star Adventurer is 5kg. 

So, what's the weight of the OTA and camera? Also, as a general rile of thumb you want to keep the weight of the OTA, camera etc under 50% of the payload rating.

So for the Star Adventurer, I would say around 2.5kg would be good.

You're right, the focal length can be an issue.
