Some help on planetary and lunar.

Hi all. 

I had come up with an idea to photograph the sun every day at a particular time to make a time lapse of its rotation. 

Do I take videos and stack them or still frames? Which gives better results? 

My equipment is Canon, 700d, an astele 95mm mak. 

I won't be using any sort of tracker.

With no tracking you would be better going for a single frame shot, can i warn you about using a good solar filter please and make sure to remove the finder scope
