Lunar image 16th December

Quite pleased with this one. Used the Canon 1000D with focal reducer to get full disk on my OMC140.

I've tried for ages to stack about twenty images with AutoStackert and then tried Registax but no luck. Anyway, here is one of the better ones, processed on my phone.

Good image - try stacking with Registax5 (not 6!!) and see how you get on.

Is there a reason... I've just started out and im thinking about AS instead of RS6...

Thanks Fozzie. I tried AS and just couldn't get it to give a good result. It always ended up mis-aligned.

Does anyone have a dummy's guide to lunar stacking with AS?

Try Reg5 with just one align point (size=256) and put that in an area of good contrast ie lots of craters. See how you get on from there.
