mikey2000
As Cygnus was dropping towards the hazy glow of Milton Keynes on my western horizon, I couldn't resist a sneaky look at Albireo (double stars always catch my eye...) Howevet, the real target was the globular cluster, m56. I hopped to the right and I am sure I caught a very faint glimpse of a smudge where it should be. So faint, I might have just been kidding myself! undaunted, I went over to look for m15. Being a bit brighter and further into the darker part of the sky, this was an easy find. Quite satisfying to see a hint of grain there but I was unable to make out any "starriness" in the fuzzy patch. time up! Put it all back in the garage - early start tomorrow morning. I barely had time to date adapt my eyes,. A shame, such a clear night here...
cotterless45
Wait a bit until M3 , between Cor Caroli and Arcturus comes into view. It's now in the early hours before dawn, tremendous sight, Nick.
