How do I install the dss beta version?  as all I keep getting on dss at the moment is a tall strip when I view my lights. and I have read t.hat this will sort it.

any help would be great, as new to all this.

You need version 3.3.4 to fix the problem. Download the update from the DSS website and unpack the .rar file to a convenient location. Copy and paste the unpacked files into the DSS program directory replacing the existing files.

Hi, I have downloaded the update. What do you mean unpack?  Can you explain please the whole, copy and paste and to where as I have no clue lol cheers

The update 3.3.4 is downloaded as a .rar file. To unpack (decompress / extract ) you need a program that can handle this type of compressed file. 7-zip is the program I use for .rar files. Download and install 7-zip and then right click on the deepskystacker.rar file and from the pop up menu select 7-zip > extract to deepskystacker334. Open the new directory deepskystacker334 and select the contents and then copy them to wherever Deep Sky Stacker is installed on your computer.
