Stargaziing in the NamibRand Nature Reserve Part 1

As many of you know, I try to travel to the southern hemisphere once a year for a holiday which incorporates plenty of stargazing.  Back in June, I travelled to Namibia for a week with the primary focus being astronomy.  The NamibRand Nature Reserve in the south of the country is an International Dark Sky gold rated reserve so the skies are about as good as you will find anywhere.  I have finally managed to write up my observing report, though it is rather long (so grab a cup of tea before you start) and have therefore split it into two parts.  The first part (link below) covers the lodge, equipment available and activities, as well as Sunday through Tuesday.  Part two will follow shortly.
