M104 sombrero & galaxy freinds ?!

Hi all,

i've noticed on my picture on the sombrero galaxy ( taken by hubble ) and there is galaxy looking objects. I've compared it to my pic of the M104 and there not there! neither a bright star. Even starry night does not show it . .

that is a nice picture and a great one if it was take with a toucam 2, very good indeed

how long was your exposure compared with hubble?

as for starry night, it don't have ever light galaxy though they are two nice interacting ones.

those galaxies are faint and not easy to see due to there size and though the earth's atmosphere

Your pic (good one by the way) does show a single tiny speck where the interacting galaxies should be.

Skymap Pro 10 does not show what galaxies these are either

just look at the fountain of all knowledge and they are not Quasars either or so sayes carte du ceil :laughing2:

i usually get down to 22nd mag Quasars with it but there was nothing like there has not been any surveying in that area????????

this could be a bigger challenge then i though well next stop the internet

I can't go that deep but google night shows a wonderful pair of interacting galaxies.

Had a go myself to find out what info existed about this pair of colliding galaxies.

Not a lot I'm afraid other than their known as "The Double Helix Sombrero".
