Finder/Guider Holder

This cheap and compact tube holder allows for pretty good precision X / Y adjustments, and it also serves as a good grip carrying handle. Made from two different size alu U-profile, screws, nuts, washers, some teflon sheet and a few cable ties.

I have to be honest, that looks really fiddly to me, especially the up and down movement...much easier in an XY holder with a sprung plunger....

nice bit of DIY though :)

Last night was first light for the guider holder, and I can honestly tell that it was so much easier to adjust compared to my old scope rings. And compared with a factory made tangential head some 260 Euro cheaper.
