I'm NOT contemplating making a mirror but this was a VERY interesting read, and the technology opens the door to new processes for the earth-bound telescope manufacturers for the commercial sector . Strong, lightweight and the temp control ! How long before Synta or GSO cotton on ?

Agree, you would need a more practical mount, but don't forget, the gravity on the Moon is less than here, so the scope and mirror would be lighter. Would think they could get away with an EQ1
