EASY WAY TO MOUNT CPC 925. DIY

The Celestron CPC is a very good telescope but its very difficult to mount it onto the tripod. Holding the CPC 925 and guessing where it will line up is really frustrating and arm aching. For £6.  I made a very easy way to line it up in an instant, put in place and twist until it clicks in the slots.

1 x Round Non Slip Bar, Pub, Waiter Serving Drinks Food Tray - 35cm (14") available on Ebay 111674926500 £5-89

Make template to fit around the telescope and cut with fine blade jigsaw.

Tray arrived, cut and in place. Landed straight on the centre stud first time and 3 out of 3 to check! Brilliant idea, hated sliding it around in the dark to locate the centre.

I would highly recommend this to anyone using a CPC in altaz mode.

Many thanks to TJExcaliibur for posting all those years ago!
