The Next Steps for 2 Inch EP Viewing, What Are

Recommended Posts

I use 8mm and 12mm Starguiders (Paradigms in US) in my 8" Dob. I don't recall barlowing the 8mm on any target other than the moon so even assuming that your skies are considerably better I don't know that you'll ever want to barlow the 6. In addition, at such high magnifications any object will leave the field of view very quickly and you will have to constantly nudge the scope to keep up. Long term I would say it's probably not a question of 6 or 8mm, but both.

The 6 would be better than my barlowed 10 plossl, for sure on fov and clarity. It will have to be on my long term list for now. Its just interesting for me to drill down to 5mm (or 4 when i get yhe 8), even barlowed. Thanks, and have a good day. Pat

I don't think you will be disappointed with the ES82, the quality of its engineering is just stunning!

Or more correctly in the case of their 100 degree line, the quality of their REVERSE engineering is just stunning.
