mikeDnight
After suffering some of the worst seeing in ages I decided to take look at Mars last night, even though I imagined it would be a waste of time. I was rewarded with a stable and detailed view that lasted about 15 minutes before a river of turbulent air moved in telling me I'd had enough. Details: 12/5/16 @ 23.49 it; FC100DC @ X 148; prism diagonal was used so detail illustrated is the right way up but the wrong way round; seeing II Antoniadi but the planet was low, though the view was stable. CM = 263° and D = 17.5" arc. Phase = 99%. Mike
