Dropped my CCD

So yesterday I dropped my ASI 185mc

When I plugged it in it just shows a black image on firecapture.

Is it worth getting repaired or should I just buy a new one?

You may well find that repair/insurance/transport costs add up to the cost of a new one. Good luck anyway.

In my opinion you should always consider a repair, I guess the problem is where to get it done...

i don't suppose you have accidental damage cover on your home contents  insurance, with individual item cover, as it can be well worth it in your situation, I renewed mine a month ago to include this accidental damage cover, so all my kit is insured, and it was only £40 a year more, that included bike cover too.

just a thought for the future...
