Round 2 of research before buying.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I posed a few questions before Christmas in regards to getting into astrophotography and pretty much got my kit list sorted.
Everything went on hold due to money and employment issues but now I have just been given a contract at the place I have been working at for the last few months, I can start to save and get the funds together to fund the equipment.

My main setup initially is looking like its going to consist of

SW130PDS
HEQ5
Fuji XT1 (Already own)

This I will add to as funds allow with the hope of getting it guided at some point.

My main question now is in regards to imaging and viewing of planets etc (something until the last few weeks I did not think about).
Would I be right in saying that the above kit is more geared towards DSO's due to the relatively small focal length and I would be better off getting a second scope for viewing and imaging of planets?
I had been looking to maybe get a dob or a mak as a secondary setup?

What are your thoughts and recommendations?

Thanks in advance
