HEQ5 REPAIR

good morning everyone

 

a problem has occured with my skywatcher HEQ5 mount....

the handset reads 'no connect to mc, stand alone mode only'.

please can someone advise me or point me in the direction of someone who can fix this?

Hi Bob,

Depending on its age and provenance, either the supplier or the importer http://www.opticalvision.co.uk/ 

Have\do you use Stellarium\CDC to control the mount via ASCOM\Eqmod ?  if so plug the control directly into the mount & see if its controllable, also check the power supply to the mount

the power supply seems fine, but i shall certainly contact opticavision.

i popped out the other evening and someone knocked my mount over! 

the red light and handset seem fine, just cant slew!
