I've had enough of newtonian stars

Recommended Posts

Timwetherell I would have to win the lottery first mate and a cabin in the South of France under beautiful dark skies would be the first buy ;)

Bomberbaz I had a C100ED for a short while and it was sold on as I soon got aperture hunger. If I'm honest I really enjoy the views I get in my EVO150 and this is in part why I am now looking for an alternative with more aperture. I know the MN190 is no lightweight but it's 8" shorter than the EVO, 1 1/2" more aperture, CA free and stars should be far more pleasing to the eye than what I'm getting in my newts. While I may keep the 10" newt for visits to dark skies the MN190 will become my main scope for at home offering up better quality rather than quantity so to speak.

The mn190 is a nice tube for sure. Would love one myself but size dictates not. Tbh i am still not 100% on keeping the ed100 as a sct might suit better so i am holding back just yet. Daren't look through the ed as it would make it a keeper. Looks like we are both in the same position.
