Partly cloudy sky, transparency fair, seeing a little unsettled. Temperature about 24 degrees, no significant wind.

Mare Crisium, search for Barker's Quadrangle, but unable to see it.

Pierce and Picard very clear.

Northwards: Cleomedes, and rim crater Tralles

Burkhardt, Geminus and Messala, and lovely Endymion further north yet.

East of Crisium, libration is favorable for a look at Mare Marginis, and also Mare Humboldtitanium on the limb further north.

South of Crisium:

Usual suspects - Langrenus, Vendellinus ( and Lame and Holden ) Petravius, Furnerius. Outlined Mare Spumans and Undarum, and the edge of Fecunditatis.

At this point, clouds had cut off viewing for some period, and the Moon was getting low, so I couldn't see as much as I would have liked.

Last two nights have been carp, so I sat and wrote up Friday. :Hmph:

WH

nice report

I had a good look at Luna tonight as it was getting dark.

Observed Rima Ariadaeus & Hyginus I noticed that where Hyginus turns it looks like a crater and the area is surrounded by a triangular dark patch.

Cheers

Ian
