Have I captured Lunar X ?

Tonight was a very quick visual session with the SW Pro 150 between bands of clouds, the moon had past and there were gusty winds.

While I was scanning the lunar surface on the edge I'm sure I saw Lunar X. I quickly went inside, cranked up the netbook and hooked up the Xbox 360 cam that I've recently put the IR filter back in. I had roughly 15 minutes to do a handful of quick videos before misty skies between the cloud bands ended the night.

Is this Lunar X or a false X?

Getting good data on the edge of the moon I'm having trouble with, I think it's my auto white balance that's throwing things out.

Here are a few more that turned out better with the SW Pro 150, Xbox 360 640x480 around the same area away from the edge. AS!2, RS6, PDN.

I'd say you were pretty much bang on Dave. Yes there are better examples but there are also many worse examples. You did a fine job with an Xbox 360 cam in a rush. Now you know where it is, be prepared next time you get a chance.
