$50 And Under Lunar Imaging

Aussie Dave

Recommended Posts

Last night conditions were horrible so I thought I'd have a bit of fun to see what I could get from my cheapest gear imaging the moon.

The total for the items I used to image came in at just under $50AU (£25GBP, $35US).

I used an old Tasco Galaxsee 60mm refractor telescope, Hybrid mirror diagonal, Celestron 2x Barlow and my Logitech C100 webcam. All of these items were purchased in used condition apart from the new Hybrid mirror diagonal.

It would be interesting to see what others can achieve with minimal gear.
