Most recent upgrade for az goto handset please

Hi all i am trying to update my handset to the most recent fimware but im totally confused about it.the skywatcher website is not clear on which to download. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. Scott

The most recent v3 firmware is v3.37 which works with all v3 Synscan handsets.  http://www.skywatchertelescope.net/downloads.php?cat=4  .

i have dowloaded and tried to flash but error message comes up saying (read end of file) and i cant get it to go any further.

The problem can be a number of things. Try setting the baud rate to the lowest value http://www.skywatchertelescope.net/downloads/Firmwares/Updating%20the%20SynScan%20Firmware.pdf . If you are having problems try the Orion website for version v3.36 .

I have confirmed it as a dody serial adapter. so does anyone know where i can buy a releiable one please?.

This is the one that I use http://www.amazon.co.uk/USB-Adapter-adaptor-Reciept-printer/dp/B004OCM850/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453726380&sr=8-1&keywords=newlink+usb+serial+adapter .  I bought it at a local computer store years ago and it has never failed me.  Stay clear of cheap usb-serial adapters because they tend not to work.
