Whats your `grab and go` scope?

Recommended Posts

Mine is a 72 ED Refractor on a slightly modified Horizon tripod:

I use only two eyepieces, a 10mm  (giving x43) for widefield deep sky and a 5mm (giving x86) for moon and planets.

In fact I to carried  it to a nearby dark spot last night to observe the moon and Jupiter. Although low on the horizon  I could see plenty of detail on Jupiter and had fun with some coloured filters to bring out certain features a bit more.

The scope and accessories fit in a photographic backpack.

My 10x50 bins probably get used most of all in short bursts.

My trusty ST-80, can't speak highly enough of that cheap little scope, think it comes second only to my TAL 100.

Ditto for me,too.

The ST80 fits well on my Ravelli Photo tripod.

At some point,I may invest in a Skymax90/102 for Planetary/Lunar/Doublestars on the Grab n Go.
