How to track Catalina?

Hi guys,

I am planning to session early morning tomorrow so the moon wont interfere...and thinking of capturing Catalina but could it be tracked with AVX mount? I dont have a laptop. Is there anyway I could select Catalina from the menu in goto and start tracking it?

I've just been looking into this but I'm using the PC. It's do-able for me using PHD2, like you I'm going to have to be doing this in the small hours due to cloud cover (assuming Clear Outside is right and BBC is wrong!)

You can stack on the comet and stars separately in DSS then combine the images.

If your hand controller is updated to have Catalina in the list of comets just choose and slew I would think.
