Features Of The Moon

As a beginner amateur astronomer, I find it fascinating to look at the moon with a map of the moon and try to recognize the features a see!

I attached an image from today's session (taken through the eyepiece with a cell phone so very limited FOV) with some annotation (please tell me if I got it all wrong  ). At the moment the image was captured the terminator was about 10 degrees west as far as I estimated it correctly.

That's a fine image and the features you have identified look to be correct.

I don't know what map you use but I find the Virtual Moon Atlas a very good free resource  :- http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualmoon/
