Ok that looks like black space on here ! But on my computer it was all sparkly!!! Promise!!!

Is there a particular object you were trying to image? What equipment are you using?

I was trying to get just a general photo of all what I was viewing in my telescope. I managed to see thousands of stars in my telescope using a 25mm eyepiece but only a few stars showed up in the camera (which only appeared after I did some editing on the photo )

Save as a png file. Might solve your issue.

Up the exposure on your camera if the stars arent showing up in the photo. Try around 10-15 seconds and see how you get on.

Depends what you did to stretch the image (make the stars show up) - what processing software did you use? I'm guessing you performed a temporary stretch but the saved file was still unstretched. Complete guess.

Yes, stretching is the main post-processing activity. In Photoshop or similar the simplest way is to open Levels and move the mid point slider to the left.

Ok I did a 30 second exposure. Stretching? Hmmmm need to look into this. I'm not sure what program the computer is opening the photo in but will try with some other software
