Missed another one, was it a 12v or a 240v hair dryer?

On a more serious note. What were the sky considions like?

light pollution level, near targer?   (black, white glow, orange glow, really bad etc)

cloud cover?  none, broken?

wind?  non...lots

scintilation(stars twinkling)?  non, little lots, started with... then stopped

This stuff can all effect the image, so it'll help you to understand when it looks possible, but really isn't a good night for imaging, or vice versa.

The single best nights observing I had was a night with a very very thin haze.   The water vapour shows the astmosphere was stable.  It was relatively warm, and the stars were not scintilating.   When you first looked, it didn't look like a good night for imaging, but it gave me the best views that I've ever had from my scope.  (was lucky that I'd collimated it recently too)
